Why does Mastodon show me so many photos of cats? It is all cats. I never asked for this, but somehow the algorithm from the overlords knows that I want to see cats.

@kgoetz hmm I dunno… if I unfollow #cats, will I see cats as much? 😃

(Although I must admit, both of those, and the other internet favourite of Goats, are invasive and rather destructive species in my part of the world! I should really stick to #woylies or something.)

@samwilson yeah, sadly the case :/ at least most pictures here seem to be the properly domestic variety.

Perhaps #budgie ... But at this point I am just naming animals 😂
