Our #nissan #leaf #ev roadtrip adventure (journeying to #adelaide for #everythingopen ) finished today and we are back home in Tasmania .

We're now in #Adelaide and spent roughly $100 on #EV charging fees to get us here then push the battery up to 100% on arrival.
That seems a reasonable amount to pay for 1000km of #travel .

As promised a few days ago, I made a #gif of the #SpiritOfTasmania departing on a day sailing from#Devonport in #Tasmania on its way to #Victoria , then a gif of the night sailing arriving just as the sun came up.
The original videos are 166MB (Departure) and 204MB (Arrival). When trying to convert the departure video to a gif i wound up with a 504MB gif file... wut !?
I've got it down to 15MB gif each clip but at a huge cost to quality (I'm sure you'll understand).
The arrival video is particularly bad as my phone struggles with focus in dark places at the best of times but I also managed to fill 40% of the frame with windowsill :/ Still, a chance to try and enjoy the #sunrise as the spirit rolls in.

Using #openstreetmap data, #organicMaps has followed the predicted #SpiritOfTasmania route almost the entire way.
I think the difference might come from map data being recorded on a #Victoria to Tasmania sailing not the #Tasmania to Victoria route I have done.
