What's the distro / gui / whatever I would want to rock if I felt like windows 2000 / windows 7 were about where I would want to be in terms of a gaming platform based on linux? anything in that area you would recomment?

@joelmeador Pretty sure you can just download a KDE theme to make it look exactly like Windows 7 if that's what you're after.

Just my opinion, but Ubuntu feels pretty close to pre-Win8.

Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS (Jammy Jellyfish) is my current version.

Much of my Steam library runs well on it, plus I'm happy with: UX, privacy, and ease of finding answers online.
