I write a toot

I go to get a link from somewhere

I come back to the app... And my draft is gone. Not in drafts, just deleted

Is there an android app that doesn't do this??

Don't think it will protect against the phone auto-killing the app (which is what's happening there), but you can click the X as if you wanted to cancel the post/reply and it asks if you want to save your changes.

You then go to your profile and click the folder icon to resume unsent messages. Then click the X where it says it "will save as unsent" to post.

I tested this 3 times during this reply.

@jumile @Elleaster is it killing the app though? When I go back to the app, which I can do from my open apps menu, it takes me to the conversation I was relying to, not the homepage. Just without my toot in progress.

@noodlemaz annoying, isn't it? Needs fixing.

I mostly just use the Mastodon advanced web interface, which works properly, but then I mostly type toots on my tablet.
