Really shat on my day. I'd just started to feel slightly better about people in this country, not everyone is a nasty racist or otherwise bigoted prick... And then I speak to a child like a person and get rounded on by an extremely aggressive man, I was genuinely scared he'd follow me. At least he had better things to do.

Like ignoring his child who isn't learning much in the way of being a decent citizen apparently.

I'm going to this bc I love Milton, his work and his talks, and Gresham is a good outfit.

But I am VERY pissed that they are using genAI slop to advertise.

I don't know who's behind it and it's disappointing either way - no one art form is above another. Musicians shouldn't be shitting on illustrators, or other visual artists, and vice versa. Writing is also art.

Stop. Free-to-use images exist. Don't be so fking lazy.

I have hundreds, maybe a couple thousand, of images I took with my DSLR in the US, sitting on a hard drive

Approaching them to edit and publish good ones is a mountain task I've never been able to accomplish

Occasionally I remember

My art is there. Memories. Documentation. Nature. Adventure.
