My dear friends, I don’t know what to do now. I created Vernissage for Pixelfed because I believed this platform would become my new home for photos. Unfortunately, the number of bugs and the slow pace of development led me to create my own platform, and the former Vernissage became Imperssia. I didn’t want to leave you without this app. But what should I do now? I have never insulted anyone, yet I’m being called a weirdo.

@impressia I’m so sorry to hear this. I love the photo upload screen you built in Impressia, sometimes I use the app just to create new posts because it feels so slick. I have also used it to find reference images for art as it’s so simple and immersive. I wrote one of the 5 star reviews too.

I hope you can put yourself first, whatever that looks like to you. You have done brilliant work to date. Regardless of what you do or don’t do with the app, thank you for your work.

I appreciate Pixelfed as a platform, I really do, but I find Impressia to be the only genuinely exciting & usable way to engage with it on mobile. I hope you keep it up and running. 🤞

@impressia I am not surprised to be honest. He has a history of discrimination and outbursts like this. It’s incredibly sad. If you want to do occasional bug fixes that would be good. But I’m quite happy with Vernissage. Thank you for all the effort you’ve put in.

It's truly unfortunate. Many of us that tried to make Pixelfed the best photo app for the fediverse helping and reporting bugs over the early years have given up

Credit to him for all he's done but spending more time boasting about them while progress has been stagnant isn't helping. To make it worse the amount of posts he has deleted to avoid those that don't know any better to abandon ship altogether is such a bad image 🤷

@impressia Oh wow! Hmmm…my advice for @mczachurski is to prioritize the @vernissage platform over #Impressia.

Create #iPhone & #iPad apps and offer premium hosting for custom domains, which can help support #Vernissage.

Your work is too important to get bogged down in drama. We need more photo options in the #Fediverse right now.

[#]WordPress and #Threads are the leading contenders in photography because both have official apps in both app stores.

@impressia fuck pixelfed. Keep making your App. It's for instances running pixelfed not the developer.

The native pixelfed android app crashes each time it connects to my instance. I have to use Pixelix.

@impressia dansup is a cunt in my opinion, he never shuts up and always complains about trolls and haters and whatnot. Pixelfed is nice and all, but he's not.
