Should we look into running an official flagship Manyfold instance, where anyone can sign up for an account and share their public 3D models?

There aren't any instances with open signups yet that we know of; hence the question, should we run our own?

I was looking at setting up my own instance but it's difficult to see how well it works. The demo isn't hugely representative of what a well stocked/used instance would look like - but a flagship instance would be.

@manyfold I want to say yes but I fear this would be a lot of work for you to ensure people don't upload copyrighted (or paid) models, freely available, to it without authorization. You might spend a lot of time on moderation

@manyfold @3dprinting I know this is closed, but absolutely have a flagship instance, it reduces the barrier to entry and will only help your project gain traction IMHO
