In my adventure to learn some languages of the #LISP family I started with #Racket and I started with the book How To Design Programs suggested by @PaniczGodek

I'm going little by little and right now, I’m totally lost with all these parentheses. It feels like I’m not getting much, but I hope it'll get easier once I get the hang of this new way of writing code

@syntaxerror @PaniczGodek

"The Little Schemer" was my entry point, but people start from different points and learn in different ways. On the one hand, even I wouldn't normally like that book's approach, I just felt it was particularly well done; it's also not teaching anything practical, just core cncepts. On the other hand, I think the book you've been recommended by my estimable friend is more accessible to people who already understand LISP and want to do practical things with it.

@tisbruce @syntaxerror @PaniczGodek These are both great paths. And don’t worry, the notation will become easy and familiar with a bit of time and patience. :)
