I have to show you what I'm working on, and this is not Ice Cubes V2, unfortunately. But it could be at some point!

I'm very proud of this one. Multi images within the timeline, with a nice transition.

@dimillian Bluesky app. Is this a from scratch project? Looks like you didn't use any previous UI!

@shanie 100% from scratch

@dimillian Looks awesome. I hope IceCubes gets all these visual benefits too.

@dimillian Looks really cool. You did a great job with the design! If this ever leads to becoming a production-stable product + me trying it, then I think I would have a bit of a visual learning curve with the floating navbar/dock at the bottom. I think it looks great but I’m not used to the paradigm. Maybe it’s just me 🙂

@dimillian consider a shadow after a drawing group if perf permits it, shadows don’t add up irl ;)

@dlx will it solve the aliasing?
=> More informations about this toot | More toots from dimillian@mastodon.social
@dimillian not quite sure where that comes from, worth a shot.
=> More informations about this toot | More toots from dlx@mastodon.social
@dlx The First one is with drawingGroup before the shadow (you can see the squared shadow), and the second one is without. Both are aliased on the image borders; I don't get it. It's just a rotationEffect.

@dimillian @dlx Aliasing might be because the view has half-transparent pixels on edges when clipping. This can happen when e.g. there is a shadow before clip.

@auramagi This is weird, because my shadow and rotation are indeed after my clipShape hmmm

@auramagi Okay solved it !
.matchedTransitionSource need to be before all that.

@dimillian Didn't know it can happen with that one :\
Looking good!

@auramagi Thanks for putting me on the right track, I double-checked everything :) CC @dlx

@dimillian @simsaens doesn’t really work with the ivory client.
Other more straightforward image transitions like side scrolling work fine. I don’t need a card shuffling animated interface as much as I liked it in Palm OS

@dimillian can you zoom the image when it’s in full screen? I can’t get it working right with the zoom transition, because the gestures do not work well together.
