I think I've been a little harsh this week and I want to recognize that my family and I owe a sincere and heartfelt “Thank you!” to the new administration.

Before this week, we had no good email address to use to sign up for all of the most annoying and gross spam we could find but in our hour of need, they made the email address for reporting DEIA visible to the public!

So thankful for DEIAtruth@opm.gov and how it has helped my family!

When we say “The UX sucks for normal people.” it’s not because we all want our grandma on here.

It’s because our favorite F1 drivers (as an example) will probably never be on here until the content teams that represent them can get their boss’s boss’s boss to approve it, which would probably require them using it.

I feel like this is a dynamic we all “see” every day without realizing it.

When we’re like “Why isn’t my favorite [show, store, band, etc.] on Fedi?” the answer is probably that they’re owned by a company that is owned by a company that is owned by a company that has to vet every single platform them they use and explicitly allow them.

Sober friends! Tom Holland of Spider-man fame has a new NA beer brand called Bero and I was able to grab some this weekend. Target carries it, making it easier to find consistently than most!

There is a pils, a wheat and an IPA and all three are great. This might be the best mainstream competition to Athletic.
