@pluralistic in addition to #GTD methods, I found a pretty "revealing" method that helps me prioritize things:

@peterfr @pluralistic

I am in the process of setting up a brand new laptop and doing a lot of thinking about organizing information and files and time. This was a good read. I am looking forward to learning more about #GTD but I would love to learn more about Cory's strategies for info management @pluralistic.

@jenmarin @peterfr @pluralistic it's pretty easy to boil down

  1. All files max 3 folders deep

  1. First folder is meta-grouping (i.e. "10-19 work")

  1. Second folder is Grouping (i.e. "11 - accounts payable")

  1. Third folder is item (i.e. "11.02 - 2023 lawn mowing payable")

The rest of the page is kind of explaining why it works and giving strategies for how to meta-group stuff
