I like the reply feature in iOS Messages which lets me reply to specific messages from someone. However, I have no idea how you get out of reply mode and back to seeing the entire message thread. There’s no button or other visual indication of what I should do. I always end up killing Messages and relaunching it to get out of that mode. It is NOT in the documentation at Apple support.

@jasonmedeiros Wow, that works (I assumed it would be yet another gesture to memorize) but a frickn’ button would make it obvious what I should do. Hidden UI where you have to guess at what to do is just bad UI.

@jimluther @jasonmedeiros I figured out the tap in the background by accident a while ago, but I mostly kill Messages to get out of that mode because I want that to show up in someone’s stats, should anyone look, and I’m pretty sure force-quitting the app gets logged.
