Toot

It is kinda wild to think that I've made at least 2,100 cups of coffee with my Aeropress in the last couple of years. Still by far my favorite method. Other than periodically needing to get filters it is so low fuss.

@_Davidsmith Love my Aeropress. I’m away for a few days for work and took it with me to the motel :)

@_Davidsmith with the reusable metal filter even that isn’t needed anymore 😉

@_Davidsmith it is great. I had it for the past four years or so which probably means I also "broke" the 2000 cups barrier 😀

I got the stainless steel filter some time ago and I am quite happy with it. 🙌

@_Davidsmith Absolutely love it. Only downside is that it only makes one cup. But what a cup it is. Been using the same press since 2015 and still going strong.

@andrewmeyers I'm a 12g of coffee, inverted method person. I find that's the right amount of caffeine for me.

@_Davidsmith Have you avoided “Aeropress Elbow”??? I inevitably press too hard some times and pay the price in soreness. I must be very eager for coffee!

@_Davidsmith Big same. Also, have tried the metal filters, but not a fan, as paper filters seem to have better taste. Maybe acidity absorption?

@_Davidsmith I have my Gaggia at home but use AeroPress for any travel. Great gadget.

@_Davidsmith until earlier this year the Aeropress I bought in the early 2000s served dutifully in waves.

@_Davidsmith When the rubber seal inevitably wears out and is too loose—a problem for the inverted method—you can buy a replacement and it's like new. My 2013 Aeropress has survived five seals. https://aeropress.com/products/aeropress-seal

@_Davidsmith It’s a real MVP, isn’t it? I bought mine around 2014-ish and have probably spent like $10 on filter replacements since then.

That little for the best cup of coffee I ever make myself 😊

@_Davidsmith I’ve been using an Aeropress since my oldest was born. 16 years ago. Didn’t like coffee before that because all I knew was drip (which I found I loathe). I’ve only had to replace it once as it was starting the crack up the side. More than 5,840 cups. Guessing I’ve saved north of $20K in coffee shop coffee over that one. Dang son!

@_Davidsmith good effort. I was using Aeropress daily for years but was hand-grinding which was getting tiresome. Now I have a grinder, I haven’t used the Aeropress.
