[#]cpp #AndrewTomazos Am I missing something? On the face of it, the decision to cancel him over use of the word 'question', then a tendency to prevent discussion of the issue on other platforms, seems kinda weird...

@RupertReynolds May I ask you to get your facts straight? Your characterization is not what happened in actuality.

@DanielaKEngert My post is formed as a question, because I am trying to be informed.

@DanielaKEngert
Then what happened?

@selea
edit: Badly written by me. Sorry for that.
My point is that @DanielaKEngert says I got the facts wrong, but contributes nothing claimed to be right.
Original, written in a hurry on a phone:
So you you've already said you know what happened (by saying I got it wrong) but you need me to tell you, so actually you know nothing?
This is going nowhere, so let's drop it.

@selea @DanielaKEngert A couple of people pointed it out to me.
As far as I can make out, someone had a technical issue with a C++ design decision and posted about the "(tech decision) question", which to my mind introduces a question up for debate, while saying "issue" might suggest they've already decided it's a problem.
It went wrong from there, possibly because some truly hateful people last century used German language that translates to a similar sentence form in English.

@selea @RupertReynolds There are approximations of the full story out there.
That really happened, who was involved in which role, and such, is non-public in the sense that "what happens during a C++ committee meeting needs to stay among the members of the committee, and only there". This is our obligation to keep the level of mutual trust high. I will stick to that, and not dispense any details.
