The headline says it all, really.

"Mark Zuckerberg, Recipient of World’s First Rat Penis Transplant, Announces Meta Will Stop Fact Checking"

Oddly, adding "binary" to web searches finds an explanation (oddly, because the word "binary" doesn't appear on the pages found).

Apparently, it's an attempt to scan for the POODLE vuln in fallback to SSLv3 and it's been around for years.

[#]webserver #log #Gh0st and others.

My web server is logging all sorts of weirdness, and I wonder whether it's worth classifying the attempts?

(It only answers GET method at the moment)

Gh0st I know is a RAT, and I recognise the Censys scans, but how about http method 'RIP', and requests starting with control characters e.g. 0x160302016f01 (only alphabetic 'o') or just 0x160301 ?

I'm not that worried, just interested :-)

Vikki just said I'm working too hard.

I'm fine. I'll be finished really soon...

[#]Android #notifications spam?

I feel dirty--my phone suddenly popped up a notification about GBNews.

I don't know how it got there, but I feel the need to wash my hands :-(

Well, I damaged my #Framework13 #laptop . (I fell over on ice and landed hard on the rucksack the laptop was in).

Still usable, but "del" key not working.

Boo-hoo, sob, whinge?

No. I ordered a replacement part (UK keyboard) and used the screwdriver (supplied with the laptop) to change it in 5 minutes and it's as good as new.

Hurrah! :-)

I just checked and the QR code on the keyboard linked to a good "How to" video for changing the part.

EXACTLY, to the letter, as Framework promised. #RightToRepair I'm not surprised, but it's nice to see things working as they should :-)

edit: p.s. No damage to the casing, so I think it was a bad luck shock on landing, not being squashed by my weight.

TIL #TanHillInn (highest pub in Britain) has had a few days snowed-in.

And I messed up my plans by not being there!

I'm floating and I wanted to share the moment.

Taking a break from rock music for

Erik Satie. Just listened to Gnossiennes 1,2,3.

[#]vintage #domestic

A friend has a Dry-Soon, the latest thing from Lakeland (I'm told).

It suits her apartment, because humidity is generally too low, and any heat from drying in winter just makes the heating thermostat cut off to compensate.

But "hang on, what does that remind me of?" Oh yes, a 1970s Flatley.

n.b. the Dry-Soon cost a lot more than £9.90 !

If anyone is disenchanted (musically speaking) try a Drumeo video https://youtu.be/BrbLyEKC524?si=CiMN2cqWn4RlKqwd

in which #StewartCopeland heard Limp Bizkit for the first time, and #improvised a drum track. 73 and he's still got it! :-)

Dear #Google,

have you ever been told to FRO? (part 439 of a series)

[#]spying

No offence, like...

That "Dismiss" button implies that I have a choice to reject your latest "shit sandwich; hold the bread".

Nope. If I don't accept it, no route.

Anatidæphobia: the fear that, somewhere around, ducks are watching your every move.

It's an exaggeration in my case, but I do feel uneasy when ducks are watching me--they seem creepy at times.

The latest podcast 'The AI Fix' had me laughing at things such as the peculiar twists on The Trolley Problem, AI stylee.

p.s. The intro/outro song is written by AI

p.p.s. May not be entirely suitable for serious "AI All The Things!" fanboys ;-)

I see no hashtags for #TK5 #HerculesTK5 so here goes.

I've been playing with TK5 (Turnkey Hercules/MVS 3.8j) and I was pleasantly surprised at performance on my laptop-well over 200 mips showing if I give it work to do--much faster than the first (1988) #mainframe I used :-)

[#]cpp #AndrewTomazos Am I missing something? On the face of it, the decision to cancel him over use of the word 'question', then a tendency to prevent discussion of the issue on other platforms, seems kinda weird...

Shout out to Gerrit Walhout, NTSB investigator, who managed to keep a straight face while saying "Doors are not supposed to fall off aircraft" in a Mayday/Aircrash TV film.

Delivering a line like that with a straight face is professionalism.

Another day, another database leak news flash. #security #phishing

When will these idiots learn?

Repeat after me: "Almost every significant DB of personal data will leak, given time."

This time it's people seeking confidential advice in Kumamoto, about organised crime.
