Now that Bluesky has taken off, I will probably be posting buttoned up, professional stuff there but also be more active here in an unfiltered, “screaming into the void” kind of way. Unfortunately I think I’m going to need that quite a bit over the next few years.

@sarajw Could be the time period when I joined both! Bluesky is seeing lots of corporate tech activity now which didn’t seem to take off in the same way here (for good reasons). I like it here for the smaller circle.

@jrefior Some combination to Elon’s changes to the block functionality on X, the US election, and lots of tech executives taking their MAGA masks off has led to a huge migration of the remaining tech Twitter folks over to Bluesky.

Bluesky also added a “starter pack” functionality which makes rebuilding your following network very fast/seamless, so it’s lead to a huge explosion in activity over there. Much better vibes there now!

@nmoo Yeah, "industry Bluesky" has really taken off. And I guess when you're one of the first already there, you get added to a loooot of Starter Packs. I have never felt more visible. 😅

But I can safely keep saying how AI is shit here, right??

@sarah11918 Haha, yes the starter pack boost has been wiiiiild. Nice validation but the high visibility is not always my favorite. ❤️
