Yesterday, I've prepared everything to start a print in the morning. Unfortunately, the extruder motor didn't move. Do you know the feeling?
Troubleshooting the hardware wasn't on my 2do-list today... at least it didn't work right from the start (which is especially odd I think). Since I've build it myself, I know where I've to look.

Since I assume that a connector got a little loose, I've finally replaced the DuPont connectors on the wires for the 4 stepper motors which I haven't converted to proper JST connectors.
Everything is moving as expected. I'm going to start "todays print job" tomorrow morning.

@M4x yup. Know that feeling exactly. This past Spring my original Ender 3 did an amazing job printing the collapsing cane I was working on. Next morning I went to test some other aspect and pbbbbtttt!
Switched motors around to check, and the driver for the extruder was no longer functioning.
Did I fix it short term by switching back to its original board? Nope! Time to buy a brand new Neptune 4 plus!

:blobpats: Maybe a loose plug or something like that?

@M4x It’s so annoying when you have to complete a new, unexpected project before starting the now dependent project you intended to work on…
