Is it possible in #tusky version 27.1 to change the titles of the hashtag tabs? I'm amazed that I can have more than 1 but I'd like to give it an individual name too πŸ™ƒ

It turned out great! First try = final product. She was very happy! I haven't shared the model yet but it's on my 2do list (tough week...).

Today, my wife asked me if I could print something for her. You know what to do in such a case:

  1. Drop everything you're doing at the moment

  1. Start #FreeCAD

  1. Design what she'd asked for

  1. Print it (which I'm going to do tomorrow I think)

  1. Increase the WAF (I'm hoping for tomorrow too πŸ™ƒ )

On todays #FreeCADFriday , I've worked on projects from last time (https://chaos.social/@M4x/113647399133945312).

The hook was tested but I've to adjust the dimensions a bit. The bracket which can (hopefully) pushed on top of the mesh basket of a kids bicycle got #3dprinted today (photo is going to follow).

I've just watched the recording of the talk "We've not been trained for this: Life after the Newag DRM disclosure" from @q3k @mrtick @redford . It was -again- hilarious! To support the guys defend themselve, I've send some money over. How to do it? -> https://www.ccc.de/en/updates/2024/das-ist-vollig-entgleist

Which talk am I talking about? -> https://media.ccc.de/v/38c3-we-ve-not-been-trained-for-this-life-after-the-newag-drm-disclosure#t=2501

Never heard of it? This is the first talk of this series (from last year) -> https://media.ccc.de/v/37c3-12142-breaking_drm_in_polish_trains

Hey #3dprinting community!

I'm running a sturdy #corexy printer I've build myself back in 2018. Currently, I'm thinking about replacing it. Since 2018, the market evolved and seems to come up with affordable quality builds, quality of life features, new capabilities (multicolor ...) and the need for less tinkering (I've kids now πŸ˜‰). It seems like the more "integrated" systems don't play nice with my beloved #octoprint . Is it getting less relevant? What do you think?

Fascinating how much effect it has on a programming task to step back from it, keep thinking about it and than giving it another try at a later point in time.

I just completed "Mull It Over" - Day 3 - Advent of Code 2024 #AdventOfCode https://adventofcode.com/2024/day/3 using #python 🐍

And refreshed my memory and learned a lot regarding #regex

Thank you @ericwastl !

I just completed part 1 of "Mull It Over" - Day 3 - Advent of Code 2024 #AdventOfCode https://adventofcode.com/2024/day/3 using #python

⭐

For part 2, I'm happy with my #regex pattern (validated via https://regex101.com/) but my computer has another "opinion" on that matter πŸ˜…

Now I've to get some sleep 😴

After biting my nails yesterday and getting far to little sleep, I just completed part 2 of "Red-Nosed Reports" - Day 2 - Advent of Code 2024 #AdventOfCode https://adventofcode.com/2024/day/2 using #python

Very interesting that yesterday-me was writing line after line of code without success and today-me found a pretty clear solution. I'm not sure if I can start picking at Day 3 today πŸ˜‹

Today, I gave a #workshop for beginners in #3dcad using #FreeCAD. As usual, I forgot to take pictures. Too bad that I'm the one who's telling everybody to take pictures during their workshops... πŸ™„

The age of the participants ranged from 12 years old and serious retiree. Great mix and a lot of fun. Thank you!

Bonus: It's #linuxpresentationday 🐧! I've used #Ubuntu #Linux for my workshop + installed #libreoffice on one participants PC + canceled the M$ 365 subscription πŸ‘©β€πŸ’»πŸ’ͺ

Since I assume that a connector got a little loose, I've finally replaced the DuPont connectors on the wires for the 4 stepper motors which I haven't converted to proper JST connectors.

Everything is moving as expected. I'm going to start "todays print job" tomorrow morning.

Yesterday, I've prepared everything to start a print in the morning. Unfortunately, the extruder motor didn't move. Do you know the feeling?

Troubleshooting the hardware wasn't on my 2do-list today... at least it didn't work right from the start (which is especially odd I think). Since I've build it myself, I know where I've to look.

I'm thinking about printing a clear case for my #card10 . Any recommendations? I'm aware of https://card10.badge.events.ccc.de/userguide/cases/

@derf Moin,

Danke!

I haven't decided on how to reattach the screen yet. Additionally, I'm going to check out more battery options (would like to get the original + 100 mAh. Apart from that, it seems to be alive (and therefore worthy to invest more time and effort into it). :fairydust:
