I dreamt I was recording a podcast episode for @3d6DTL but then I could barely hear Matt, Ted and Mike. A good friend of mine was also visiting, made funny faces and ran around the table, making noise. Frustrated, I called for a break but instead of Pause I started a spellchecker (?), then I realized I hadn’t plugged in an external microphone, then I realized the volume was low because the sound was coming from the printer (??) and I hadn’t plugged in the headphones so I connected those to the printer (???) and then finally, mercifully, I woke up. 😳

@wandererbill @phf It’s a race to the mic, I’m telling you! Will it be DSA 1, Classic Traveller or GURPS 3rd edition‽

@kensanata @wandererbill @phf One of those early DSA adventures had a space ship in a desert, so you could have some hapless adventurers take a trip to the stars and land in the Traveller setting. Using GURPS 3E rules, of course.

@mhd @kensanata @wandererbill @phf that was a solo though (and it was awful in quite a few ways, although I wonder why they never picked up the spaceship idea when they made it's owner into the big bad of the setting...)

@kyonshi @kensanata @wandererbill @phf It was only in there in the first place because the author didn't like fantasy, and given that pretty much all sci-fantasy was removed from RPGs for a long while…

@kyonshi @kensanata @wandererbill @phf On the other hand, a lot of sci-fi RPGs had fantasy worlds you stumbled upon, because eyes didn't roll hard enough back then and Pern, I guess.

@mhd @kensanata @wandererbill @phf You start in RuneQuest, find weird Iron Coffins (whoah iron!) which make you cryo-sleep until you wake in 1920s Call of Cthulhu. You fail to stop a ritual and are pulled thru a portal to Apocthulhu's Night Lands.
