People in Japan (who don't use a VPN): If you had to choose between Netflix and Hulu, which would you choose and why?

These are the only two options. No other streaming service. It is also not an option to pick neither.

@aran I started with Hulu years ago because it was the only place I could watch Criminal Minds. I actually only got Netflix (again) recently, but I use neither enough to justify paying for both 🤣

I enjoyed Netflix for a while (mostly Breaking bad/Better Call Saul), my daughter watched the hell out of the new Ducktales when we switched to Disney+ (I barely touched it) and now we're on Amazon Prime that's popular with wife and daughter (strong JP/anime lineup) while I only watch the odd movie.

We found switching a good way to keep things fresh, but some torrenting would probably be enough for me (if I could be bothered) 😄

@aran Yeah, I figure I won't miss whichever one I decide to cancel (since I've only streamed like three shows/movies the whole year lol). I always end up reading a book instead.

The movie I really want to watch is only on FOD actually, but given that I've seen the movie 4-5 times, I should really just buy it at this point and safe current and future me the trouble lol
