I've been using #Linux as my main OS for years, and need to reinstall my laptop soon. With Ubuntu focusing on Snap, I'm not sure I want to simply go with 24.04.
Can anyone recommend a Debian-based distro that offers a recent, clean version of Gnome? Preferably newer than what Debian Bookworm comes with?

@roytanck Linux Mint is based on Ubuntu, but they have banned Snap and rely on Flatpak like everyone else.
Or does it have to be something Debian-based? Then I can only warmly recommend Fedora. Much more up-to-date with all packages and faster updates, and still as stable as a rock.

@unixviking @roytanck
Mint is a good choose, just have to rip off cinnamon and install gnome on top of it.
Other option, strip off snap yourself of Ubuntu.
But I think that work the shot about Fedora.
