Hey, people who bring your dogs into restaurants (increasing trend). They’re adorable. I love them. But you’re putting restaurant employees in a terrible position, where they either have to ask you to leave or risk getting in trouble with the health department. It’s selfish. Don’t do it.

@engravecavedave Not in Maricopa county. Licensed dog patios (and service dogs, obvs.) only. There is no situation in which it is okay to bring a non-service dog inside a restaurant.

@darmato well that's sad. There are specifically dog friendly restaurants in my home country and they're great. Before that, getting a dog to a restaurant was something that was never really allowed
Edit: also I think it's quite unfortunate that waiters in the US are in such a desperate position that they can't even tell the customers when they're doing something wrong

@engravecavedave Post-pandemic, a common refrain is that the good customers have gotten super nice and the bad customers have become completely intolerable. There is definitely a walking on eggshells vibe afoot.
