Random technobabble: I'm on vacation in PDX, and noticed that my phone is on 5G. Signal is good. So I did a performance test (I only have 4G LTE at home).

5G is worse on all metrics (latency, download, upload.)

Not sure how to explain this, except that I've always believed 5G was seriously overhyped. Anyone want to make bets on 6G?

@mikeloukides sometimes the service says 5G but you are actually on LTE speeds. I’ve seen it go either way.
