Spent last weekend in Seattle for a fabulous workshop with Julie Beeler (author of the Mushroom Color Atlas) at Botanical Colors. Book event, chef created mushroom dinner, foraging, and then dyeing wool and silk and creating watercolor paints and ink. Joyous, creative, inspiring.

@faziarizvi Oh, I am STOKED! Her classes in PDX are always sold out, but I'm taking a year-long online thing of which she is a part. Your event sounds AMAZING! The book is beautiful, too, but books can't replicate experiences (or so I keep urging myself to learn 😂)

@aehdeschaine Oooh, the year-long online thing has me intrigued. But yes, I got so lucky to get in the class as it was sold out in the blink of an eye! She was such a generous teacher with near encyclopedic knowledge of these mushrooms. And the workshop keeps giving: I just spent some time soaking the mushrooms I came home with to dye some of my own spun.
