Pet peeve: people who say "I have a theory" instead of "I have a hypothesis"

@matzipan A scientific hypothesis and a scientific theory are quite similar concepts, though. Both are not disproven unprovable statements about reality. You call it a hypothesis if it is subject to your research to test its plausibilty and a theory when you accepted it into your "canon".
In other words: Those people are just honest. They never do the research, they just blind accept it.
