Saw a nurse to remove earwax and the they suggested I don't wear my hearing aids in the evening after work as that will improve airflow to ear and reduce wax buildup.
I explained I wear them all the time and she insisted it'd be better if I didn't wear them for a few hours each evening.
I had to explain I need to wear them all the time so I can hear.

@snail you might be hearing but you sure aren't listening. ( I wear hearing aids)

@moredread What is your point exactly?
I get the need to not wear them for a bit because wax buildup due to lack of airflow.
But if I don't wear them in the evening, I cannot talk to my partner and I cannot talk to my kids.
Instead I get my ears vacuumed regularly.

@snail
you don't need them while sleeping, that should be sufficient air flow.

@moredread the nurse, and it wasn't the usual nurse, was referring to the evening ie after work and before bed.
She was also surprised that I had hearing aids in both ears and seemed to think I only needed them for work.
I don't know anyone who wears their hearing aids to bed :-) unless they have cochlear implants or course.

@snail sorry for my initial snarky comment, I had a couple of drinks so a portion of common courtesy went right out the window. Lesson learnt. :ablobcatwave:
