I had a friendly chipmunk that would visit me on my porch, so I started feeding it peanuts.

One day while sitting inside, I saw it sneaking in the dog door. I would stomp my foot on the floor and it would scurry back outside.

There must have times I didn't see it coming in the dog door bc later that summer I had sunflower plants growing in my potted houseplants.

Winter came and it went into hibernation, but returned the next spring.

That summer, I found oak trees growing in my houseplants. It switched from burying sunflower seeds to burying acorns. Ha!
