Just saw Wim Wenders’ & Takuma Takasaki’s “Perfect Days” - a quiet and moving film about a man living a humble life of routine, finding small joys in nature, reading and music, and peace in his unglamorous but necessary job as a cleaner of public toilets. Suggestions of a difficult past unfurl as the story develops & his connections with the people around him deepen. Music is a powerful conveyor of emotion throughout. It has little dialogue & a lot of impact.
