New book alert! A Holmes/Watson queer anthology called When the Rose Speaks Its Name. The proceeds of this one go to LGBTQ youth at risk in the UK! I have two tiny, connected Holmes/Watson stories in it (adapted from the Haunting of Baker Street series) but there are heaps of other wondefful stories if you've read those, and illustrations too!

Just saw Wim Wenders’ & Takuma Takasaki’s “Perfect Days” - a quiet and moving film about a man living a humble life of routine, finding small joys in nature, reading and music, and peace in his unglamorous but necessary job as a cleaner of public toilets. Suggestions of a difficult past unfurl as the story develops & his connections with the people around him deepen. Music is a powerful conveyor of emotion throughout. It has little dialogue & a lot of impact.
