Ok is anyone here knowledgable about #WoodWorking? I'm making bat houses and I've been told pressure-treated #wood is bad because it usually includes chemicals that can harm the bats.
I also plan on using an exterior stainer/sealer type on the wood. Can I use pressure-treated lumber if I'm sealing it with the stain/sealer?

@MIfoodie pressure treated lumber when you buy it fresh from the store is wet and will be leeching chemicals for year or so. beyond that, once you seal it, it should not matter.

@Rajiv That's what I hoped someone would say because I've looked at Lowe's, Home Depot and Menard's and it's been hard to find non-pressure-treated wood.
I've been thinking about calling a local company which is probably going to be better on pricing anyway but I'm just trying to get a rough estimate on the price.
