Omfg I hate #Windows audio settings. I bought a new #videogames on #steam (Foxhole, currently on sale if you’re interested) and it took me a good hour to fix microphone and hearing other people’s microphone. Granted it was probably partially the games fault but it should’t be that hard.

This #3Dprinting planetary gear makes a surprisingly great fidget toy. I thing I’m going to try to reprint it with a smaller nozzle to make it smoother and make my printer speed half as fast to also make it smoother.

I added a small which looking back at it was a horrible idea because it also added material in between the gears which was a pain to get off. I hope there is a way to add some sort of brim in Cura slicer that only does the very outer of the print.

Ok in writing this post I've found another instance of the Mandela effect (https://www.britannica.com/science/Mandela-effect, if you don't know that that is).

I swore there was a "hiker" emoji with a hat, a backpack, hiking leftwards with two hiking sticks and the left stick was was in front of the right one.

Apparently there is not any #emoji

that matches that description (I've looked it up and read through a few #reddit posts about people discussing this).

I am beginning to understand why people like #wired #headphones so much. It’s a pain when you turn on your headphones and it connects to the tv upstairs which you didn’t mean to listen to, or to try to pair another device which messes up your other paired devices. Luckily my headphones also came with a 3.5mm jack port so I can have them wired.

Ok is anyone here knowledgable about #WoodWorking? I'm making bat houses and I've been told pressure-treated #wood is bad because it usually includes chemicals that can harm the bats.

I also plan on using an exterior stainer/sealer type on the wood. Can I use pressure-treated lumber if I'm sealing it with the stain/sealer?

Every couple of weeks or so I always go on this tangent on what #Linux distro would suit me the best and the conclusion that I always come up with is that it doesn't really matter and I can just configure whatever distro I pick to suit my needs the best (I've been drawn towards KDE Neon, but I also would love to use Xfce or LXQt/LXDE just because I want to get away from windows from feeling slow and bloated and those are the opposite of that.

Edit: I know that LXQt is a desktop environment but I think I may try Arch or Debian because I have the impression that both of those are relatively smaller distros with less crap on them

There probably isn’t but is there a way to make a cr touch (on an Ender 3) more sensitive so the printer doesn’t have to go down as far when leveling into the bed?

So for my headphone case I’ve decided to #3dprinting it by 3D scanning the insert that the headphones came in the box.

May do some touch up work in #Blender but I’ll also also try to print some of it in TPU (thanks to @StarkRG for that suggestion. If I get fancy I’ll print an outer shell in a harder plastic so it could have a bit more crush resistance and put the TPU inside the shell.

I’ll provide update in this thread 🧵
