Just got followed by @tdf. It looks like they're an aggregator selling ads on content posted on the Fediverse, among other places. Since I live in CA, I'm really looking forward to seeing how "do not sell my information" interacts with this particular business model.

@tdf Just a reminder that tech-bro opt-out culture is alive and well.

"Oh, nothing says we can't take this content and sell ads on it, so we're going to" is a bit too close to "well, she hasn't said I can't grab her ass, so I'm going to" for my taste.
