Friend lost some luggage on ICE904 (near Montabaur), train ended in Cologne already. DB‘s lost and found seems to be closed for the public holiday.

@manawyrm Don't rely on their lost and found hotline/online service. That one only operates on their central lost and found facility in Wuppertal. It's faster to go to the actual lost and found service at the terminal stations (Cologne) if it's urgent. They will keep items for two weeks before sending them to the Wuppertal facility. I lost a Fritzbox and went to pick it up in Nuremberg, where they told me that.

@manawyrm at least a few years ago the central lost/found people told me to go the last station of the ICE in case it’s urgent since there’s a chance it was only found there. apparently the lost+found service at the station where it was found keeps the luggage for a few days before it’s sent to the central processing place
