Had first CT scan since surgery, no visible disease which means tumors are not in hypergrowth mode - yay.

Confirmed RAS mutations - boo.

Onco wants to hold off on chemo for now, concern is it could exclude me from some studies/trials/treatments.

CT+blood work every three months to monitor.

Probably the best news I could hope for.

@BobHorowitz The net of it is we know the cancer is still there - biopsies from surgery were definitive they did not get it all. The hope is that all the cutting removed or greatly reduced the source of nutrients the cancer needs which will slow things down. Give us time to find clinical trials, new drugs, etc. In rare cases this can last for years so I am hoping I am rare. 😉

I think you and I are about the same age (i.e. grade school memories of JFK being shot). I don't feel like I've lived a very long life yet... my brain lies and tells me I am middle aged :) I imagine you feel the same, at least on healthy days.

@BobHorowitz Heh-heh. Coming down a trail the other day that old me would have sprinted and had to remind myself to slow down. "OK James, that's a broken ankle in hiding...oh, there's a face plant waiting to happen." Amazing how our brains trick us... I am trying to view it as a new challenge. Some might call that denial...

Got a 15 year old Miata from my dad last year for my mid life crisis. He couldn't get in and out of it any longer so shipped it to me. Luna (my dog), loses her mind when I get her special harness out for a ride. Spent the money for the only harness I could find that was crash tested to NHTSA standards.
