@pixelfed other issues I'm having on Pixelfed lately: people can't find me via search, some of my posts aren't searchable either.

You can see @DocPop@pixelfed.social, the federated version of my Pixelfed feed, on Mastodon. It shows a reply from a few days ago, and some posts I recently re-tooted, but neither of my two recent posts.

None of my recent posts on @pixelfed have shown up in the #fediverse yet, which is odd. Is this a known issue for other folks or some mistake I'm making?

Despite the temporary pause on the TikTok ban, I'm still unable to export videos from #Capcut. I'm forced to sign in, but get an error message when trying. This started on Jan 18th, the same day the other #Bytedance apps went dark. Is anyone else having this trouble, or have you found a solution? I'm not sure if using a VPN would fix it or not.

I made Kenji's Origami Egg Sandwich this morning. We didn't have ham, so I used bacon and added some tomatoes to get some veggies in there. Today a speeding car plowed into the Dovre Club at 26th and Valencia. Another dangerous intersection in the Mission that is two blocks away from where another car crashed into a corner store last week.

If we want to make #SanFrancisco safer for everyone, we need to start by making our streets safer for pedestrians and local businesses. Two weeks ago, a car crashed into the market at 26th and Guerrero. I visited the shop a day after the accident, and while I was shopping inside, another car crashed at that intersection. It was pretty bad, and it looks like a pedestrian may have been taken to the hospital afterwards.

It looks like #SanFrancisco is off to a terrible start for pedestrian safety in 2025.

These veggie burgers from "Actually Veggies" are really good. Really tasty and easy to cook. My only complaint is they are really low in protein, so I have to find a protein-heavy side to serve them with.

I've been listening to a lot of #Busdriver's older songs lately and have to say that Temporary Forever is still a fantastic album. If you've never heard him before, I highly recommend listening to "Imaginary Places" with scratches by #DStyles. The beat is by Paris Zax and features samples from Bach's "Orchestral Suite No. 2" and Paganini's "5th Caprice." Definitely an underground #hiphop classic and a great way to kick off this epically weird rap album.

This is icky: Substack automatically subscribed me to a newsletter without asking me. Apparently, a writer that I was following added this newsletter to his "recommended" list and substack subscribed me to that new list without asking for permission. I'm pretty sure that's illegal in California (thanks to the CCPA).

I love "Just Like Heaven: A Tribute to the Cure" so much. I've been playing this album daily for the past few weeks, and I don't even like The Cure.
