I don't want to jinx it but I'm so so pleased with how my Throwback cardigan is coming along. I'm doing a lot of new/newish (for me) things with this one, including 3 stranded colorwork and converting it to knitting in the round + steek.

And to brag a little, my stranded colorwork tension is excellent. Super stretchy. 💪 #knitting #fiberarts

This is my first completed yarn on the support spindle (I plied on the Turkish spindle) and while I need a lot of practicing to get better consistency I'm proud of the results. And impressed by how thin I could get on the dang thing. Wow.

a list of stuff I want to make this year:

-more socks

-my Andrea Mowry sweater

-the cute embroidery samplers I got a while back

-the rest of the woodland winter ornaments kit

-the rest of my second fall charms set

-a lightweight cowl, maybe with that cashmere I have sitting around

-some leg warmers/boot cuffs

-the woven table runner with inside hem stitch from last spring's Little Looms

-another set of woven towels or a scarf

-lots more spinning

Thinking about Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? suddenly, specifically the part where almost all the animals are dead so people have robotic pets and the most valuable are the ones that look so realistic that no one talks about how they're fake - to the point that the technicians are all disguised as vets.

(There's so much about that book that's interesting to me that never made it into Blade Runner, which is why I dislike the latter)

I like the way this is presented, because (1) it makes me think of fast fashion and (2) it's applicable to so many areas with changing landscapes due to adoption of AI tools.

I decided to chain ply it, thanks to @mlemweb for the inspiration. It's having a bath now but I am already pleased with the results (and it was good practice chain plying on the wheel; I'm a lot better than I was)
