The #goblin elder is really determined.

It's #goblinweek, so here's a quick little #goblin #sketch on a paper bag, using pencil and a white colored pencil.
Hopefully, more Goblins to come soon.

Does this qualify as yarn bombing? Probably not, since it's not in a public place?
Replaced the ear pads on my good ol' headphones, and wrapped the headband in #yarn.
At first I thought about knitting or trying macrame, but then decided to keep it simple for now.
The headphones were starting to look very worn out indeed, but it feels like a waste to buy new ones since they function fine even if they looked tired.
At least if the yarn gets worn out, it's easy to replace.

After a couple weeks of #imageTransfer experiments, here's what it was all for. Airport security successfully broke this glass key cabinet when I flew by repacking my suitcase in an idiotic way.
I cut a new glass piece, and transferred this dragonfly image from https://www.pictureboxblue.com/dragonfly-drawings/ using acrylic gel medium.
Then, I applied "antique gold" wax to the back with a stencil brush.
Now that I don't have to see the broken cabinet every day, I can stop feeling frustrated about that flight.

Sketching by the Sea.
Rust can be pretty.
Trying to gather the courage to maybe paint over the sketch. (Probably won't. Should probably do a separate one.)

More #MixedMedia #imageTransfer experiments.
Today, I did a small-scale test with leftover glass and an inkjet printer image. I used my half-dried out Golden acrylic tar gel while waiting to get my hands on fresh acrylic medium.
Tried backing it with a scrap of paper to make the print pop more. I was surprised the transferred image is so translucent that the paper (from some old book) shows too well! I'll have to use more subtle paper next time.
This time, no varnish was used, only tar gel.

Experimenting with transferring ink jet prints onto glass.
So far, it's been a challenge.
I couldn't find my glass cutter.
And almost all my acrylic gel mediums have dried out.
So I'm trying to use Amsterdam acrylic medium 117, and Golden clear tar gel side-by-side. Sadly, the tar gel jar was half-dry as well, but my first impression is that it worked better than the liquid medium.
I'm letting them dry for now and will decide whether to try putting varnish on them tomorrow or keep rubbing.

Here's a little #papercraft #Moomin house I built from a kit purchased at the Helsinki Art Museum at the #ToveJansson exhibition.
Simple, cute, and inspiring to make.
I love that the illustration seems to be of her own design.
Now, to find a little spot to keep it safe from cats ...

I finally managed to get my printer printing decent images.
It seems there were two main problems.
Point 2 became apparent after it finally agreed to spit out said blob of black inky cat hair.
Hooray! I can print again!
I think no one is too interested, but the victory was too great for me not to post about it, sorry.
Please enjoy a before and after image.

CW for eye contact with unicorn-headed reclining Grand Duke of hell, chilling on a trumpet pile.
So if I'm reading this correctly, Amduscias is the Grand Duke of hell, and he'll give you a concert if you command him to. Also, he controls 29 legions (presumably of hell), and trees bend towards his voice.
The brevity of the description reminds me of a dating profile, which I find even funnier!
Also, the tree thing must be inconvenient.

A friend just brought to my attention the following odd image by Louis le Breton, 1863, from the book "Dictionnaire infernal", which I must clearly check out in greater detail. I also want to know why all the trumpets.
I thought it might amuse you as well.

I very much enjoyed it and recommend it. There were many pieces there that I had never seen before.

I made this little #handmade #notebook from paper offcuts and a placemat.
The pages aren't bound together; they are held in place by elastic strings, so it's possible to take out pages or put them in.
There's a little hook-and-loop tape closure.
I haven't tried using it before, but I like it.
Most of the stitches are decorative, except for the closure.

Ugh. My printer has been printing big blobs of ink.
I've gotten to the point where I think I have cleaned both the rollers and the printer wiper blade.
I will wait for the rollers to dry before I can find out if my effort was in vain.
Did you know a printer has wiper blades? I sure didn't.
I sure hope this resolves it, because I don't know what to try next. Maybe wiping the pump cap assembly foam pad and trying to discover wtf a flushing box is?
I hate weekend tech troubleshooting.
