Someone took me to lunch to pick my brain about their new product idea. The idea is fine, but their description of it involved using “AI” and I unloaded for 5 minutes about how what we call “smart” and “intelligence” is just automation and probabilistic guesses and…well lunch was tasty. Can’t imagine I’ll get asked back.
