Not everyday there’s a 5.0 earthquake in the Bering Strait, but there was Sunday evening. Felt at Little Diomede. Concern there is for quake-induced rockslides, but so far so good. #Alaska #Earthquake

Sea ice extent in the Bering Sea remains well below the 1991-2020 median and is the lowest for this point in the season since 2019. There's likely six to eight weeks to go before the seasonal max is reached, but given weather model forecast of prevailing south winds for the next ten days, ice is unlikely to reach the Pribilof Islands this year. #akwx #Arctic #SeaIce @Climatologist49 @ZLabe
