Finally started with FF7 Rebirth and… boy I did not expect to be blasted away with so much nostalgia. For someone who worships FF7 it’s such a powerful moment to walk through Nibelheim with that music.

For some reason I stopped playing Final Fanatasy after 10. It kinda lost its magic more than 20 years ago. I recently gave Final Fanatasy 16 a shot, but idk. It just don’t sticks with me.

Asking to the indie devs on Mastodon. Are you spending money on ads? (AppStore, Instagram etc.).

If yes, is it worth it and how much budget do you spend?

For example I see regulary ads on Instagram for example from indie devs and I'm genuinely interested of the economics.

(please boost, I'm really interested)

I met now several solo founders that use LLMs as somekind of Co Founder. They use it to combat the loneness and to have a dialog with someone about startup decisions.

Interesting indeed.

You just need to accumulate enough capital to be protected, regardless of whether you broke the law or not.

Apple's OpenAPI Code generator progressed very well. Unfortunately this is the last issue I see before really adopt it.

Adopting it, is especially now tricky, since it looks like other code generator (such as CreateAPI) are not moving over to Swift 6.0.

A famous ex Google CEO once gave the advice: “Steal the data and let the lawyers figure it out later” (or something like this).

Now OpenAI will “investigate” if DeepSeek “stole” data.

It’s strange to see how U.S. politics is panicking over DeepSeek. Is this what the launch of Sputnik felt like?

As a European observer (with no Skin in the game), I’m also surprised by how “unwelcoming” their achievement feels in the AI landscape. Especially since it’s still open source, compared to “OpenAI”.

It feels like the U.S. is so accustomed to being a dominant economy that it struggles to fully comprehend this.

In the long term, we Germans and Europeans should stop focusing solely on growing economies that drive our exports and instead shift our attention to strengthening our domestic market.

Europe’s population, at around 450 million, surpasses that of the United States. Building a self-reliant and, most importantly, energy-independent economy must be the future. We should no longer rely on authoritarian regimes to supply us with energy or determine demand for our products.

If you ask me, I believe the Green Party is the only party that acknowledges the need to transition to a new business model.

The shift to renewable energy could drive demand and create numerous opportunities, especially with the U.S. reversing its plans.

Unfortunately, Germans will likely decide to go back and pretend we are still in the 1990s, when “Made in Germany” cars still mattered.

The Wall Street Journal accurately highlights Germany’s economic challenges.

Meanwhile, election discourse across parties is full of denialism, blaming immigrants or bureaucracy while ignoring deeper systemic issues. Many act as if outdated business models, irrelevant in a globalized, tech-driven world, can still be revived. (the market do not exist anymore)

I don't see any positive in favor of Germany. Regardless of the outcome of the election.

„Billionaire Larry Ellison says a vast AI-fueled surveillance system can ensure 'citizens will be on their best behavior' „

1984 has finally arrived. With advancements in drone and robotics technology, we’ll soon no longer need pesky humans to maintain control over the population.

AI solved the dream of every authoritarian regime. They might finally get it to work.

Wow. You can almost see in real time how the administration is systematically removing all DEI-related content (and more) from the 18F repositories.

This is just one example. You’ll find even more of it in the Main branch. At this point, I’m surprised they haven’t renamed Main back to Master.
