The Wall Street Journal accurately highlights Germany’s economic challenges.

Meanwhile, election discourse across parties is full of denialism, blaming immigrants or bureaucracy while ignoring deeper systemic issues. Many act as if outdated business models, irrelevant in a globalized, tech-driven world, can still be revived. (the market do not exist anymore)

I don't see any positive in favor of Germany. Regardless of the outcome of the election.

If you ask me, I believe the Green Party is the only party that acknowledges the need to transition to a new business model.

The shift to renewable energy could drive demand and create numerous opportunities, especially with the U.S. reversing its plans.

Unfortunately, Germans will likely decide to go back and pretend we are still in the 1990s, when “Made in Germany” cars still mattered.

In the long term, we Germans and Europeans should stop focusing solely on growing economies that drive our exports and instead shift our attention to strengthening our domestic market.

Europe’s population, at around 450 million, surpasses that of the United States. Building a self-reliant and, most importantly, energy-independent economy must be the future. We should no longer rely on authoritarian regimes to supply us with energy or determine demand for our products.

@obrhoff 450M but not a single market; and not much access to capital. I believe those two specifically make up for most of our differences.

@djh Indeed! We got the potential but we need to resolve these issues.
