If you follow Advent of Code, the inverting of an interpreter (Day 17, part 2) was an especially nice problem, I think.

The best short explanation of what to do known to me (without doing it for you, as that persons task is just an example for you), here with a dozen line of very readable Julia:

https://www.reddit.com/r/adventofcode/comments/1hg38ah/comment/m2gwm1p/

It is an art to explain something this compact. (I solved the puzzle, and explained it once. My explanation was much more convoluted. :) )

Chapeau!

Wow, there are people solving AoC in Uiua.

Like here https://www.reddit.com/user/Andreasnl/

I need more time.

Male orchid bees of the tribe Euglossini collect fragrances, to offer them during courtship.

I find this absolutely adorable :)

Reads like from a book by @nnedi :)

Boinas Elósegui is the last producer of Basque berets in Spain.

There is a Wikipedia article about it, in Basque (I used a translate tool). It says:

«History

Antonio Elosegi (1834-1905) from Tolosa founded a factory in Tolosa in 1858 to make socks. However, the socks were not very good, they were like a hat, so Elosegi decided to make hats»

I like.

If you are interested in modelling global processes, the WorldDynamics.jl written in Julia looks like a fast start.

https://github.com/worlddynamics

(You can look into World3, the model used in "The Limits of Growth" by the Club of Rome 50 years ago. Earth4All.jl is a modern simulation. Documentation, and references are in the projects.)

Yes.

That's probably right.

But I don't understand how this should put me at ease.

TIL: Fermi-Dirac-Primes.

(Not primes, but you can multiply them to get any integer. Construcing a number this way, any f-d-prime will occur at most once as factor. This has been compared to fermion behavior, and hence the name.)

Question about formats for datetime literals:

Is there a way to disambiguate the hour that is used twice in "daylight saving time"?

Or is this the catch all argument to never use such a time zone in electronic communication?

As I like the art of Shantell Martin, it's nice to find out that there is a typeface by her, in the style of her writing: Shantell Sans.

https://github.com/arrowtype/shantell-sans

It is a parametric typeface, and as such mentioned and demonstrated in this talk

https://youtu.be/-27L7iqFocI?t=1574

(And you may use it as a replacement of the other xxx Sans, of less fame.)

If you want to re-adjust the often heard story about where money comes from, read David Graebers "Debt, the first 5000 years", or for a summary, watch this video

Sometimes I still find the subtitles at YT still hilarious. (what Graeber says is: ...northern China and Ganges valley ...)
