The thought occurred to me recently that "fedi" might struggle with certain demographics due to the strong negative connotation that "fed" has, almost makes it sound like it's the place for federal agents.

I am pretty sad to be losing tik tok. The funniest most relevant people seem to have been congregating there for the past few years. Much like I used to stick to Reddit because it was where Internet culture seemed to begin for a lot of things, for the past few years it’s been tik tok. All the other networks were just recycling tik toks. I’ll miss it dearly.

I'm very tempted to give bluesky a try. It's looking like black twitter may be making an exodus for it so the energy might be there. It's hard because I know that ultimately it could fall victim to the same problems that twitter has today. I have no plans to get rid of my mastodon, however.

There seems to be such a strong impulse to attack each other after this election loss. Criticisms are coming from all sides at every single sub group one can think of. Everyone can’t be right, and everyone can’t be wrong. But let’s maybe try to remember that we’re much weaker when we’re all blaming each other for a loss. Idk, maybe a pointless thing to say but just been on my mind.

Wow, found a new low in a website’s “cookie settings preferences” pop-up. after selecting my preferences it began a loading screen and said it could take up to a few minutes to process. And got stuck at 77%.

I thought “everything everywhere all at once” was amazing when it first came out. I hadn’t seen all the AI art yet. Then around later I watched it again and I realized the scenes where they overlaid endless artwork in quick succession, which I originally understood to be just a mountain of hard work on their part was actually just AI art, it felt so empty. Meaningless.

I’ve been dealing with the same injury for close to a year now, and I’m starting to think it may be time to go to the doctor. But I know they’re gonna charge me a lot for the diagnostics… which is one of the big reasons I’ve avoided going.
