There is an adage in journalism, "Kill your darlings". I.e. if you have a nifty turn of phrase, but it just does not land, does not bring actual truth further, just NIX it.

1/2: Hørte en feil-oversettelse i går (Dagsrevyen tror jeg) keystone var oversatt med hjørnestein. Selv i overført betydning syns jeg dette halter. Hva med heller å bruke "nøkkelfaktor", eller "bærende element" ? Hjørnestein er mer et start-punkt, og referanse-punkt. Keystone er mer overordnet samlende, /bærende/. Syns nå jeg da. Og jeg er hvit mann over 60, så jeg kan synse som jeg vil.
