Google account deleted, Facebook account deleted 2 days ago. I've had no Microsoft or X accounts for years (I think), I only have an Apple iCloud account, and that's about as much evil as I am about to tolerate, and it serves a purpose for me.

I have a Bluesky account, but I think it's on pause, and I can't be bothered to check - so I should probably delete that too.

The macOS app IINA (media player) and the Firefox plugin Open In IINA is a pretty good combo for watching YouTube without the utterly intolerable advertising, or paying the utterly intolerable company behind it all.

Starting my day on the sofa in my office with some ambient music, dog asleep beside me, coffee at hand and hacking Emacs. Perfect start to the day.

Also, now my Emacs change between light and dark mode themes with the system. So that's really cool.

My trusty old Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones broke, nothing obviously wrong I could repair. I cannot function at work without noise cancelling headphones, so I promptly went and bought a pair of XM5's, the latest and greatest version. They arrived today. They're quite different than the old model, lighter, feels more firm, new sounds when turned on/off, sounds a bit better. Very happy (yes, that's my happy face).

My very trusty 5+ years old Sony WH-1000XM3 noise cancelling headphones mostly won't turn on, after they got dropped Sunday. It takes several tries, charging in between, to turn them on.

Panic!

I can't function without, especially at work in the open office. Tried taking the headphones apart, and there's nothing obviously broken, nothing to repair. :-(

So I have now ordered a pair of XM5's, the latest and greatest version. They'll arrive tomorrow, I hope.

Normally I don't really care for cars themselves, only the capabilities they bring to my life. But the Renault 5 Turbo 3E is very cool, reminding me very much of the bonkers group B rally cars from the 80'ies.
