I'm working on a selection of D&D adventures (nothing cohesive or expansive enough to be considered a campaign) and I've decided that a session that mirrors getting through airport security is going to be a good introduction to a wyrd world...

I think the payoff in getting through this ordeal should be the opportunity to travel very very fast, with some skill challenges to spice things up.

I'm sick of these "if X music was done in the X0s" AI slop posts that are popping up on my YT recommendations.

I love a good cover, but dumping the lyrics of a song into an AI "composer" then uploading the resultant swill to YT is not how to do it.

Go follow Moonic, MacGlocky, or Ten Second Songs instead.

Started and finished #ProphetSong on a couple of flights on Sunday. I haven't reacted so strongly to a book like that in quite a while. I had to stop reading a few times, it's tough in places.

But as a warning of how it could happen, how Ireland could slip, and the rise of the far right, it was quite chilling, told amongst the mundanity of kids' lunches and baked goods.I still don't know if I liked it. I don't think liking is the right word. But I can't stop thinking about it either.

[#]Bengaluru is the only town I know where the Uber from the airport is always more turbulent than the flight itself. Installing rumbly speedbumps seems to be a neighborhood affair. And the fog is incredible!

I had a few Lesney-era #Matchbox cars as a kid. And a few of the later Macau-built models, I always preferred them to #Hotwheels because they looked more like the cars I saw on the road.

Finally got some time to fix the bike. Took the rear wheel off for a patch—first time doing it. Said a quick prayer to Sturmey and Archer to avoid messing up the gears, but it went back together smoothly. Tried a few tools from the kit; they’re fine in a pinch, but I used the full-sized socket set to speed things up.

Added a spare tube to the frame for road flats, then realized I’d need tyre levers too. Tied a couple to the saddle for now.
