Planning a media boycott tomorrow.

Unlikely to check in here, and for SURE not visiting Bsky.

I'll be driving to LA, so that's about 6 hours of music, podcasts, and catching up with friends over the phone.

Then I'll do some work, and watch the Warriors game and the two Unrivaled games (LFG!!)

I hope everyone here practices self care during tomorrows horrifying and shameful ceremonies.

I have to admit I’m curious about the non-Siri functionality.

Seeing a "Who to follow" carousel in my Home timeline. Grr. This is how big accounts get bigger and more influential. Sometimes that's good. But most of the time, it just creates more division and brainrot imho.

I saw Blue Velvet before I saw Eraserhead. I was blown away. So weird and dark. And the way Lynch blends dark humor and horror was unlike anything I'd previously seen.

And then there was Twin Peaks. Which for me was his best creation.

Total innovator.

Today in 1970, the MC5 released their first studio LP, "Back In The USA".

My parents had this record, so I heard it from time to time as a child.

This only adds to my cynicism about our current information environment.

Maddow uses a straw man argument in this article in order to explain her return to 5 days a week.

“There’s a sort of head-in-the-sand wish casting that’s happening with a lot of people checking out of the news, thinking ‘If I don’t hear about it, if I don’t look at it, then maybe it’s not happening,’”

People aren't checking out entirely.

Some of us just find no value to anyone by wallowing in the details of the day's intentional provocation from a fascist admin, every day, for hours and hours. And then talking about it again on social. It changes nothing.

And I'm done getting opinions on policy from multi-millionaires. Including podcast hosts. Feels like they're all grifting while the world burns.
