Hmm this can't be legal under Creative Commons. Can it?

Maybe SO have a terms of use that allows them to show content on-site without attribution. Even then, re-users would have no way of knowing that, so others are still misinformed about the content's license.

I just found the weirdest bug in Safari @webkit

When swapping the class name of two DOM nodes, it tells JavaScript that attribute changed, but the "real" DOM and painted screen don't change, permanently out of sync.

C++ RFC: There are exactly 8 bits in a byte.

I had no idea that bytes weren't always 8 bits. I suppose it's a bit like integers in that it evolved over time. Although this is one that has clearly converged.

But yes, the language still has it as an external/target defined constant rather than a specified part of the language.
