Remembering Wayne's World.
The part where they criticized sponsorships because of ruthless money making while showing off different brands just cracked me up 😁

Subnautica is getting me into scuba diving 🤿
I'll probably never be able to do it, but I just love the feeling of swimming through the reefs with the little fish.
Now whenever I see a whale on video, I'll call it a "leviathan class creature" from now on 😁

Okay, you're telling me that you ACTUALLY need a spy pengling to collect the snow stalkers' fur and that's the reason risking my life to actually kill them with my heat knife (3 times, in fact) was POINTLESS???
This is bullshit! At least let me collect the fur from the one I electrocuted, damn it.

Ama Lee (aka Monarch) just joined Vshojo! 🤯
Of all the potential VTubers to join, she was the LAST ONE that I had in mind.
Quite a surprise!

Can anyone tell me where to get spiral plants in Subnautica: Below Zero? I can't find them anywhere; not even in the purple vents area near the giant wreck. 😕
Also, where can I get all the parts for the laser cutter?
And if there's plans for a fridge so my cooked fish won't rot, I'd appreciate it 🐟😅

brrrr it's freezing cold in here. 🥶 ❄️
Better turn on the PC and play a graphics intensive game :blobidea: That might warm up the room a little!
Plays Subnautica Below Zero
Uh... I don't think this is the right game to play in the freezing cold 😅

lol I was playing this chess puzzle, and as I kept attacking, the opponent kept moving themselves into a corner, until they finally blocked their king from any escape route.
I said out loud: checkmate. 😎
I meant it metaphorically.
But it was also a literal checkmate 🤣

Whenever I need a secondary character, I do tend to write a backstory for them.
For the really interesting characters, I think of a defining moment. Their Canon event, so to speak. What made them who they are, and set them in the path they're currently walking.
This is not always the case, sometimes I leave tidbits here and there, and the reader (and I) finds out as they get to know that character more.
It doesn't have to be a traumatic event, or a triumphant moment of truth. Sometimes it's a career, a trivial decision and a slow growth over the years involving several key moments, like drops of water falling onto a cave to make it into a column.
But I never stop imagining. I keep imagining scenes, and observe as they happen to see more and more. If they become interesting enough, I write them down.
So far I have the following characters' backstories:
For Pearson, it's the moment he saw his wife die.
For Bethany, her rejection from a job due to her record.
For Vixen, well... she turns out to be a much more important character, so it's not a backstory; it's a prequel :blobthinksmart:
Currently I'm exploring a sci-fantasy world where Enu, a young priest with a woodworking background meets the goddess. I want to make it cryptic, but also leave hints that the magic may not be so magical after all. But only maybe.
Doing this is hard! But fun as heck 😁
As for who the goddess is, her character is pretty much one-dimensional at the beginning and I don't like it, so she needs to grow as much as my protagonist as her adventures continue. I want to give her character development!
Hard to do with someone over 150 years old, tho 🤔 And I can't give flashbacks because spoilers, so I guess I'll have to improvise.
Anyway... my point is that I want to make my characters interesting. Not just sidekicks with a motto, but real people with worries, aspirations, hobbies, interests, and maybe traumas or bad experiences.

Oh hey, I managed to do some cleanup of my Downloads folder from 85 to only 35 GB! 😃
This means transfer to the new laptop will be much easier now.
Granted, I moved the isos and nsfw folders elsewhere, but that's for the better. Less clutter! :blobcheer:

Interesting thought: I'm downloading some subnautica wallpapers, and I noticed a phenomenon:
Those screenshots where the view is looking down makes me feel a weird oppression in my chest - as if I'm about to drown and need to go up. Those where the view is up (looking at the water surface) make me feel some kind of relief.
I think thalassophobia is a survival trait passed down our genes.

God I'm bored :blobugh:
I should have taken my laptop and some headphones with me.
At least mom's stable, so that's good news, I guess? 🤷
Anyway, what can I do with a cellphone right now?
