Interesting thought: I'm downloading some subnautica wallpapers, and I noticed a phenomenon:

Those screenshots where the view is looking down makes me feel a weird oppression in my chest - as if I'm about to drown and need to go up. Those where the view is up (looking at the water surface) make me feel some kind of relief.

I think thalassophobia is a survival trait passed down our genes.
